ISLAMABAD: Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood Thursday underlined the need to develop framework to create linkages between Pakistani and Tunisian universities.

During a meeting held here with the Ambassador of Tunisia Adel Elarbi, he called for initiating an exchange programs for students and faculty between the two countries, a press release said.

The minister also underscored the importance of linkages at higher education level between Pakistan and Tunisia.

There is also a lot of scope for cooperation in the field of vocational and technical training training, he added.

Earlier, the ambassador while congratulating the minister on his portfolio stated that education was an important ministry and the government of Pakistan was focusing on education sector.

The two countries enjoy good bilateral relations but much scope exists to boost bilateral relations, the ambassador added.

He said people to people contact was very important for enhancing bilateral relations.

Both sides were agreed to coordinate and hold further meetings for boosting ties in the field of Education.
