On occasion of the 5th FPCCI Achievement Awards, I would like to congratulate the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry for the efforts made by his organization in advancing the cause of trade, industry and entrepreneurial spirit in the country.
FPCCI has a substantial role in steering socio-economic uplift of Pakistan through fostering competitive economy, broadening economic engagement and enhancing international outreach. It is, therefore, befitting to recognize the contributions made by Pakistani businessmen, entrepreneurs, and business leaders in sustaining the economic growth of the country. In this context, the FPCCI Achievement Awards is an impressive and laudable initiative. These Awards demonstrate that Pakistan is by all means a resourceful country with multiple opportunities for business growth and development.
As this new age is marked by complex global interdependence and technological innovation, Pakistan would have to be cognizant of the challenges and opportunities of the international trade. Through its missions abroad, the Foreign Office has always admired the role of FPCCI and expressed its readiness to cooperate in handling such challenges. Also, in the wake of CPEC, bodies like FPCCI would have to play an active role in facilitating the inflow of FDI, nurturing business-to-business contacts and projecting the image of the country as an emerging market with matchless potential.
I congratulate all the high achievers and performers who won accolades in the Awards ceremony and wish them more prosperity and success in their fields. I hope FPCCI would continue to remain a source of inspiration, guidance and leadership for the new entrants in the field of business and economy through its great work.
