MYC cancels national conference

President Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC), Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair has cancelled the national conference of the religious parties that was fixed for today and welcomed the government's explanation about a mistake in the draft of the electoral reforms related to the affidavit about the 'Khatm-e-Nabuwat'.
Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch said in a statement that by withdrawing the amendment, the government had restored the previous position on the issue. He however said that if the government goes back on its assurance, the religious parties would launch an unprecedented movement.
