The Met Office on Wednesday forecast heat waves for Karachi with a maximum temperature scaling up to 37 degrees Celsius with warmer weather conditions on Thursday and Friday. Humidity level is likely to reach 85 percent, it warned, saying that the city's skies will remain fair/partly cloudy on Thursday but Friday may be warmer.
Hot and dry weather in the next 24 hours is likely to grip the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours with a light rain-thunderstorm at a few places in Malakand Division and Gilgit-Baltistan. Noorpurthal and Nokkundi were the hottest places with 41 degrees Celsius, flowed by Mithi and Sibbi 40, each over the last 24 hours as the hot and dry weather prevail in the country's most parts.
