Nighat resigns from the parliamentary committee

PESHAWAR: Provincial Chairperson Peoples Party Women Wing and MPA, Nighat Orakzai in a protest has tendered resignation from the parliamentary committee formed by provincial government to resolve problems of Peshawar University’s students.

Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club here Friday, she said that a committee comprising legislators of various political parties was constituted by the government with a task to submit a report about issues of students and irregularities in fifteen days.

Nighat said she has resigned from the forum as the committee has failed to do anything tangible due to indifferent attitude of authorities concerned, adding that in future, she would be a part of the protests of varsity students.
