Bid to smuggle foreign currency foiled

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Friday claimed to have foiled an attempt of foreign currency smuggling at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP). According to details, the action was taken on a tip-off, which revealed that some unscrupulous elements were planning to make an attempt for foreign currency smuggling from JIAP.
Reacting on this information, preventive staff spotted a passenger namely Murtaza at international departure and during physical examination, the team has recovered 105000 Dihrams and 25000 Riyals from his possession. He was travelling to Dubai via FlyDubai flight fz-332. He concealed the said currency in his clothes and shoes. Further investigation was underway.
