Pakistan Muslim League-Q President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior and former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi have said that national economy and security are interlinked, therefore the Federal Ministers need not cry over defects being pointed out to them in economy.
They expressed these views while talking to PML-Q lawyers and workers delegations and responding to questions from the media here on Sunday. They said Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Pak Army spokesman Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor have given a straight talk about the economy in the national interest and truly reflected people's thinking, voice and sentiments.
They said the economy directly affects the national security, but it is an irony that the stalwarts of the PML-N government were working on agenda of weakening the country and defaming the national institutions at international level. Instead of national interest the rulers gave preference to friendship with Modi and weakened economy through record foreign and local loans, tried in vain to defame Pak army and Supreme Court and even attacked Islamic ideological frontiers of the country, they added. They said it is an insult of the country that the World Bank refused to meet the Finance Minister of the present government. PML-Q leaders paid tribute to Pak Army Captain and jawans martyred in Kurram Agency on Sunday.
