On Fridayat Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,032. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.841billion and the number of lots traded was 9,080.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.574 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.117 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 663.110 million, silver PKR 195.347 million, platinum PKR 106.064 million, DJIA PKR 57.715 million, NSDQ100 PKR 19.894 million, copper PKR 17.478 million, Brent crude oil PKR 14.854 million, natural gas PKR 8.984 million and SNP500 PKR 6.990 million. In agricultural commodities, 48,830 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 6.881 million were traded.
