Pakistan People's Party (PPP) provincial deputy general secretary, Behramand Tangi has said that his party would not make any electoral alliance with other parties in the province and would clean sweep the up-coming 2018 general elections in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a news conference at press club here on Tuesday, he criticized the incumbent provincial government had miserably failed to fulfill its pre-elections promises and change agenda. He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will reject to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in next general elections due to its poor performance in the province.
He maintained that they would prove that Pakistan People Party is the largest political party of the country and the day is not far when it would get thumping majority to form government in the provinces of the country. He said PPP had always raised voice for downtrodden segment of the society. He said there was not launched a single mega development project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which has shown poor performance of the incumbent PTI government in the province. PPP leader alleged the rampant corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He criticized the PTI chairman Imran Khan due to his immature politics.
He said Imran Khan talked about reforms, but did nothing on ground. Tangi further alleged that Imran Khan is trying to again illegally appoint Akbar Ayub as an Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization, who he added was already declared illegal by the court, which a apparent proof of the provincial government. He accused the PTI chairman Imran Khan is biggest threat to the country. He asked Imran Khan that instead of accusing others, should take practical steps for bringing reforms in the province. He further maintained that Imran Khan is morally, ethically, professionally and politically a corrupt leader, who diverted politics to abusive language".
When asked him about the PPP winning chances in by-election NA-4 to be held on 26, 2017, the party representative responded that his party candidate was contesting with two provincial and federal governments but in future, the PPP make clean-sweep in 2018.
