The profit after tax of Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) stood at Rs 1.330 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 1.563 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2016. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday at Rawalpindi announced that the company's earning per share stood at Rs 16.04 in the period under review against Rs 18.85 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 48.245 billion in this quarter against Rs 38.983 billion in the same quarter last year. The company paid Rs 9.714 billion in account of sales tax in this period as compared to Rs 7.482 billion paid in this account in the same period last year. The company's cost of products sold increased to Rs 36.560 billion in this quarter against Rs 29.210 billion in the same quarter last year. The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 1.830 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 2.199 billion in the same quarter last year.
