Pakistan Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted the Afghan National Army base in Maiwind district in Kandhar province in which more than 40 soldiers were killed. "We are grieved at the loss of precious lives in the cowardly attack," said Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in a statement.
"We condemn terrorism in all forms and manifestations and reaffirm our firm commitment for continued efforts and cooperation for eliminating this menace," he said and also expressed Pakistan's deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. At least 43 Afghan soldiers were killed, nine others got injured and four were missing following the Taliban attack on Afghan military base in Kandhar.
