Pakistan left arm pace bowler Muhammad Irfan has approached the Lahore High Court seeking directions for removal of his name from the exit control list (ECL). The petitioner wanted to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah but the Interior ministry had placed his name on the ECL owing to allegations of spot fixing.
The petitioner said that the inquiry initiated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) exonerated him of the charges and the allegations of spot fixing against him found baseless. He therefore prayed the court to direct Interior ministry to remove his name from the ECL.
