Sindh Minister for Information, Labour, Transport and Mass Transit Syed Nasir Hussain Shah Thursday handed over the cheque of amounting to Rs 12,500,000 to the Secretary Press Club Karachi Maqsood Ahmed Yousufi at his office here.
The delegation remained with him for some time and discussed the matters of Journalists Community, Welfare of their families and Health Insurance Policy etc.
On the occasion Secretary Information Sindh Imran Atta Soomro, Joint Secretary Press Club Naimat Khan Members of governing body Hanif Akbar, Saeed Sarbazi, Sohail Rafiq were also present. The Minister Information has also directed the Secretary Information that to expedite the Residential/ Housing Scheme of the Journalists. The PPP Government is giving priority to the Media persons in every tenure as PPP believes in press freedom and expression, he said. Members of governing body thanked the government, PPP and Minister and the Secretary Information Sindh.-PR
