The profit after tax of Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has increased to Rs 348.606 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 122.211 million earned in the corresponding period in 2016. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share increased to Rs 1.12 in the period under review against Rs 0.30 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 18.439 billion in this quarter against Rs 17.238 billion earned in the same period last year while cost of sales increased to Rs 17.641 billion in this quarter against Rs 16.735 billion in the same period last year. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 531.094 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 216.026 billion in the same period last year.
