Jamil Kazmi of the Karachi University Teachers Forum was elected president of the Karachi University Teachers Society on Tuesday, securing 303 votes. He closely defeated the candidate of the Teachers Alliance for Good Governance, Riaz Ahmed, who secured 293 votes. Following are the names of other successful candidates. Vice President: Shah Ali-ul-Qadar, Teachers Alliance for Good Governance (307 votes); he defeated Anila Amber Malik, Karachi University Teachers Forum (295 votes).
Secretary: Muhammad Moiz Khan, Teachers Forum (329 votes); he defeated Mohsin Ali, Teachers Alliance for Good Governance (283 votes).
Treasurer: Ghufran Alam, Teachers Forum (374 votes): he defeated Asad Khan Tanoli, Teachers Alliance for Good Governance (227 votes).
Joint Secretaries: Muhammad Ali, Teachers Alliance for Good Governance (339 votes), Lubna Ghazal, Teachers Forum (289 votes).
