Pesco to purchase more electricity through net metering

Board of Directors (BoD), Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) has given approval for purchase of additional electricity from domestic, industrial and commercial consumers up to 1MW through net metering. The approval was accorded in a special meeting of Pesco BoD held at Wapda House Peshawar with Chairman BoD Arsala Khan Hoti in the chair. Managing Director (MD) PEPCO Dr Amir, members Zulfiqar Ahmad, Tahir Bin Yamin, Nasir Khan Musazai, Ahmad Dildar and Muhammad Naeem Khan Secretary Energy Department also participated in the meeting.
Under the decision, all domestic, commercial and industrial consumers who produce electricity by any source can sell up to 1MW electricity to PESCO, which will be purchased through net metering by connecting PESCO distribution system. PESCO SOP was approved on priority basis by Board of Directors for this purpose.
