PFUJ, KhUJ condemn attack on TV channel in Kabul

Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) condemned the deadly terrorist attack against Shamshad Television in Kabul and urged the Afghan government to take early steps for the safety and protection of media houses and its workers throughout Afghanistan. The PFUJ Senior Vice President Shamim Shahid and KhUJ President Saif Ul Islam, through separate statements, have shown sever concern over terrorist attack against Shamshad TV and termed it an inhuman, immoral and unethical act. Through, such gruesome acts, militants and their sponsors always were making attempts to curb media voices against terror and extremism.
On behalf of PFUJ and KhUJ, Shamim Shahid and Saif Ul Islam have extended sympathies with Shamshad Television employees, management and Afghan people. They in particular extended sympathies with relatives of female worker of Shamshad TV who lost her life in the attack.
