As per details in this context, 15,368 male and 4421 female candidates coming up to a total of 19,789 candidates took Bachelor Test at the main campus of the Varsity at Jamshoro.
However, the number of candidates regarding additional campuses remained as detailed ahead: Laar Campus Badin - 249 (Male: 200, Female: 49) candidates, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Campus Dadu - 465 (Male: 345, Female: 120) candidates, Thatta - 109 (Male: 86, Female: 23) candidates, Mirpurkhas - 298 (Male: 236, Female: 62) candidates and Larkana - 165 (Male: 127, Female: 38) candidates. Fool-proof security, walk through gates, seating, guidance, test-execution, stationery, water, logistic, medical and other candidate-assistance arrangements were ensured by the university administration on this occasion. For the parents accompanying the candidates, a separate and tidy make-shift pavilion was set up at the premises; and they were imparted with regular updates through a special audio contact mechanism. This was a first-time feature implemented under the specific instruction by Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat, Vice-Chancellor, University of Sindh. Efficient parking facility for staff, candidate and parent vehicles was put in place at various ideally-designated locations close to the venue of the test. For the first time, under the special directives of VC-SU Dr Burfat a contingent of 150 male and female students from the platform of Bureau of STAGS and Directorate of Students Affairs of the varsity was also prepared to guide the candidates; which turned out to be a highly successful initiative.
The candidates were allowed entrance to the examination centres; upon careful verification of admit cards and other relevant documents after thorough body-frisk by male and female security personnel. A vigilance committee comprising Deans, Members of SU Syndicate and other relevant officers visited various centres to inspect the arrangements of the test and expressed satisfaction to this effect.
