Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) President SM Naveed has urged the business community to take supportive measures to promote Pakistani products through international trade fairs and exhibitions. He was speaking at the International Business Conference and Exhibition (IBCE 2017) organized by University of Management and Technology. "IBCE 2017 offered opportunities for both market globalization and product globalization,' he said.
He appreciated the efforts made by UMT, particularly for setting up of a CPEC Research Centre. "Within few months, UMT's CPEC centre has emerged as major point of contact for those who want to learn about the CPEC and the opportunities arising from it," he added. The CPEC will provide a much-needed base to kick start the economic growth in Pakistan, he said. He added said fruitful initiatives like IBCE serve as a convention for entrepreneurs and investors from Pakistan, China and all over the world to identify new investment opportunities in different manufacturing and services sectors of Pakistan.
It is heartening that the present government is also supporting all out efforts to further develop the basic infrastructure in all the industrial sectors of the country to improve the productivity and quality of products and services to acquire the desired share and spot in the international market, he added.
