A group of 104 Hindu pilgrims arrived here on Sunday on a 10-day visit through Wagha Border to participate in the ceremony of 309th birth anniversary of Guru Saant Shadharam at Shadhani Darbar in Hayat Pitafi, Mirpur Mathelo (Sindh). Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) officials received them at the Wagah crossing.
Talking to the media at Wagha border, ETPB Chairman Siddiqul Farooq said that people of Pakistan and India wanted that the hurdles in good relations between the two countries to be removed at the earliest. The issues should be resolved through talks; he said and added that special arrangements have been made for security, transport and hospitality of the Hindu pilgrims.
Talking to the media, leader of the delegation Yogester Lal said that they feel delighted to be in Pakistan, adding that the delegation had representation of 10 provinces of India. Indians have good sentiments for Pakistanis; he said and added that they never faced any problem in Pakistan as the Government of Pakistan always put in place the best facilities for them. He said, "We wanted both governments to make arrangements to ensure ease for the people of both countries", adding that "we all have brought a message of peace, love and harmony". The Hindu pilgrims would return to India on November 30.
