On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,106. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.312 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,837. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.751 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.748 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 678.659 million, DJIA PKR 369.762 million, platinum PKR 354.764 million, silver PKR 187.422 million, NSDQ100 PKR 136.378 million, natural gas PKR 40.206 million, copper PKR 26.497 million, Brent crude oil PKR 13.942 millionandSNP500 PKR 5.716 million. In agricultural commodities 9,110 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 1.639million were traded.
