Finance Division has notified that the Futures Market Act, 2016 of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) would be applicable from November 15, 2017. According to the SRO 1199(I)/2017 issued by the Finance Division, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 2 of the Futures Market Act, 2016, the federal government, in continuation of its previous notification No. 559(I)/2016, dated 18th June, 2016, has appointed November 15, 2017 to be the date on which Part IV of the said Act shall come into force.
