Secretary Board of Investment (BoI) Azher Ali Choudhry along with Director General, Rifat Parvez, visited sites of Rashakai Special Economic Zone and Hattar Special Economic Zone. The representatives of KP Economic Zone Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) also accompanied the Secretary, BOI during the visit.
The purpose of the visit was to review the physical progress on sites .The Government of KP have already acquired 1000 Kanals of land for Rashakai Special Economic Zone and 424 Kanals of land for Hattat Special Economic Zone. The officials of KP Economic Zone Development and Management Company briefed Secretary BoI over the infrastructure, development and the features of the two zones.
It was informed that the development work of Hattar Zone-7 was in full swing, while land for additional 1000 acres at Hattar was in process and 1000 acres land for Rashakai has already been acquired. Secretary BOI advised the KPEZDMC officials to initiate necessary steps to complete the Rashakai Special Economic Zone at the earliest to make it attractive for investors.
