Annual Sports and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Defence Authority SKBZ College was held at the College's lush green ground. Director Education DHA, Brigadier Sardar Muhammad (Retd) was the chief guest. Begum Administrator DHA Brigadier Shahid Hassan Ali attended the ceremony as guest of honour. The students dressed in colourful attires presented a splendid programme which included an impressive march past, a spectacular mass PT display, superb gymnastic display and a wonderful taekwondo martial art performance.
Various athletic events including 100m sprint and 400mx relay race were also held. Colourful tableau presentations, enactment of different cultures round the globe, enchanting musical chairs and a sensational tug of war were the hallmark of the event. The chief guest commended the students for their remarkable performance.
Director Education commended the college and the faculty staff for maintaining a wholesome educational environment that helped to produce dynamic, confident and forward looking individuals who could contribute positively for the country. He exhorted the students to work hard and to maintain discipline and punctuality for success in life.
Earlier the Principal, Brigadier Mirza Khawar Baig (Retd) in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of students in various fields of academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. He said that the college provided vibrant and stimulating educational environment that was instrumental in students' intellectual, emotional and physical growth adding that the college strived to maintain highest standards of academic excellence.
Jinnah House and Liaquat House were declared the overall best Houses of the year in school and college categories and were given the coveted champion trophies. The chief guest also distributed shields and medals amongst the students who excelled in various curricular and co-curricular activities.-PR
