Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad Friday issued directives to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan to record statement before police in four cases which had been registered against him during the sit-in he staged in 2014. Attack on PTV, attack on the Parliament House and SSP Asmatullah Junejo assault cases are among the cases registered against Khan.
During the course of proceedings, ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand asked the counsel for Imran Khan, Babar Awan, to coordinate with the investigation officer (IO) about date and time for recording the PTI chairman's statement. The judge also directed the investigation officer of the case to record statement of Khan in all the four cases. Later, hearing of the matter was adjourned till December 07.
