On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,106. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.062 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,601. Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 2.886 billion followed by gold PKR 2.497 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.912 billion, silver PKR 975.073 million, DJIA PKR 292.239 million, platinum PKR 166.778 million, NSDQ100 PKR 138.050 million, SNP500 PKR 108.257 million, natural gas PKR 56.721 million, copper PKR 18.175 million and Brent crude oil PKR 11.304 million. In agricultural commodities 84,720 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 15.249 million were traded.
