Religious Ministry imposes strict conditions on scheduled banks for receiving Hajj applications
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has imposed strict conditions on scheduled banks interested in receiving Hajj applications of Government Hajj Scheme during Hajj 2019.
According to official sources, the interested banks should submit their Expression of Interests (EOIs) by December 13, 2018.
After stipulated time, no application will be entertained. According to conditions, the banks having 550 branches and online facilities at Tehsil level, are eligible to submit applications for receiving Hajj applications from intending pilgrims for performing Hajj 2019 under government scheme.
The banks should have different counters at each designated branch for receiving hajj applications, besides deploying special staff for guiding the intending pilgrims in submitting Hajj applications to the Ministry.
The hajj dues of the applicants should be kept in Sharia Complaint remunerative accounts.
The banks shall submit forms of successful intending pilgrims with Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony within 15 days of Hajj balloting.
The banks shall also establish Hajj booths at Haji Camps with Identification Boards and bear all expenses relating to its establishment and utilization of resources at each Haji Camp.
