The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) spokesman has demanded the registration of first information report (FIR) of the Model Town incident in accordance with the Commission Report. He said the government should comply with the court order of making the report public without delay. It should be followed by the registration of an FIR, he added. The PPP spokesman has also demanded arrest of the responsible ones in line with the Commission Report. He advised the government to stop challenging the law and implement the report in its true letter and spirit.
Earlier, PPP Lahore President Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan led a caravan of PPP workers to Islamabad to attend the golden jubilee celebrations with party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. The highly charged party workers were carrying party flags, banners and placards of party chairman, vowing to revive the glorious past of the party under Bilawal Bhutto leadership.
