One window TB Clinics are being established at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals for the better and focused medical treatment of TB patients. In this connection, the first one window TB Clinic has started its work at Govt. General Hospital Samnabad which was formally inaugurated by Deputy Comissioner Salman Ghani here on Tuesday.
The Deputy Commissioner took a round of TB Clinic and inspected the different sections. He directed the doctors TO provide all out benefits of this clinic to the TB patients and said that wide range campaign should be launched for the awareness of general public and TB patient to control this fatal disease.
He also emphasized upon providing maximum facilities to the patients from this one window TB Clinic in connection with medical check-up, registration and provision of medicines for achieving the good results.
The Deputy Commissioner said that such one window TB Clinics would also be set up at other THQ Hospital in the district very soon. District In-charge TB Control Program Dr Rana Imran informed during his briefing that the suspects TB patients would regularly be checked in this one window TB Clinic besides registration and issuance of health card. He said that the medicines would be supplied to the TB patients through courier services at their residences directly by the Punjab health department.
He informed that the complete record of the TB patients would be saved in the computer for their follow-ups. CEO District Health Authority Dr Zafar Abbas, MS Dr Asfand Yar and other doctors were also present on the occasion.
