The Foreign Office Friday cautioned Pakistani nationals in Afghanistan to exercise extreme vigilance amid fears of kidnapping in the war-torn country. Spokesperson Foreign Office Dr Mohammad Faisal during weekly media briefing said the warning had been issued because off-late senior professionals working in different fields have been kidnapped.
He said Pakistanis either considering employment positions or currently working in Afghanistan must take into consideration their personal safety and well being before accepting employment or continuing their residency in Afghanistan. He further advised Pakistanis residing in Afghanistan to register with the embassy online via Embassy's website on the prescribed forms (www.pakembassykabul.com) and to contact at email [email protected] and phone numbers 020-2202745 and 020-2202746 in case of any emergency.
