Exporter community of Sialkot has hailed the decision of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for allowing exporters to directly dispatch transport documents to the buyers abroad against shipment valuing US $100,000 or equivalent. According to SBP sources the decision has been taken keeping in view the fast changing global trade practices which will facilitate the exporters.
The development is expected to provide manifold to local exporters like reduction in cost of doing business, efficient processing of export documents and improved competitiveness of exporters of the country in international market.
Meanwhile the President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Zahid Latif Malik while talking to Business Recorder on Thursday afternoon said that achieving this historic success was not easy task but after series of meetings with government functionaries to make them understand the importance of the matter.
