The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday welcomed the statement of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on the merger of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KPK) province. While addressing the party workers here, PTI senior leader Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhary said that the nation and the army are on the same page regarding merger of FATA with the KPK province. "However, Nawaz Sharif, Fazal-ur-Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai are opposing the merger," he added.
He observed that by making the FATA a part of KPK will bring prosperity and development for the people of the tribal areas. He said the Nawaz's government behaved irresponsibly by opposing the merger and this is tantamount to insulting the tribal people.
