misbah-ul-haqKARACHI: It was devastating when Pakistan whitewashed England with superb spin bowling in the Test series 3-0.

Now another great spin trail awaits England in the limited over series with the addition of cricket world’s sensation Shahid Afridi.

The English team still reeling from an historic defeat now has a more difficult mission as their record in One-day Internationals (ODIs) has been very weak recently. They have won only two series since 1987, excluding matches against Bangladesh.

Pakistan's strength is the occurrence of three decent all-rounders. Afridi may not be the force in the batting line-up but he is still a dangerous player capable of turning a game with the bat or ball within a few overs.

Abdul Razzak, also very dangerous, provides bowling depth and some hard hitting, while Umar Akmal, by no means the finished player as a wicketkeeper, is a very fine batsman to give batting order depth.
