On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,105. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.562 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,852.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.343 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 896.722 million, SP500 PKR 269.484 million, DJ PKR 260.779 million, platinum PKR 172.479 million, WTI crude oil PKR 164.441 million, silver PKR 163.007 million, NSDQ100 PKR 117.148 million, copper PKR 108.653 million, natural gas PKR 64.489 million and Brent crude oil PKR 1.119 million. In agricultural commodities 41,850 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 7.373 million were traded.
