On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,127. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.869 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,239.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.068 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 834.883 million, WTI crude oil PKR 527.085 million, silver PKR 459.730 million, platinum PKR 328.730 million, DJ PKR 233.065 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 190.622 million, natural gas PKR 98.737 million, SP500 PKR 63.687 million, copper PKR 57.836 million and Brent crude oil PKR 6.817 million. In agricultural commodities 16,080 lot of red chilli amounting to PKR 2.830 million and four lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.658 million were traded.
