RTO issues notices to teachers

The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notices to teachers of public and private institutions for tax audit, said sources. According to the sources, show cause notices have been issues as many as 400 students of public sector universities and colleges, besides the private sector institutions.
The FBR would conduct audit for the financial year 2013-14, they added. The concerned staff of RTO has sought tax returns and income details for the period under audit. The details have been sought within seven days of the show cause notice.
