Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University (SBKWU), a leading research and teaching institution in Balochistan, has started to transform its core financial processes with the deployment of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud. Together they can enable the university to help provide employees real-time access to critical information to help improve the efficiency and consistency of its planning and budgeting processes.
Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University is committed to providing the highest standard of education to women in Balochistan and to support cultural change in the region. To help support this mission, the university wanted to modernize and automate key business processes and deliver a 360-degree view of critical information in real-time to improve efficiency and improve decision making. These activities were previously not possible with the legacy software used.
"SBKWU has an important role to play in empowering women to participate fully in the economic development of Pakistan. To reach as many students as possible we need to deliver quality education at an affordable cost. This new cloud platform has an important role to play as we continually seek to optimize our processes, improve financial efficiency and better utilize available resources," said Rukhsana Jabeen, vice chancellor, SBKWU.
"The constant addition of new and innovative functionality into the cloud solutions mean that it should be a long time before we need to change our systems again, and the icing on the cake is the fact that we will be able to easily integrate Oracle Cloud with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solution as phase two of our long-term vision."
"To help enable quick and robust decision making and respond to changing market demands, many educational institutions are moving to the cloud," said Syed Azam Abidi, Country Manager Application Business, Oracle Pakistan. "With Oracle Cloud, SBKWU can simplify and modernize its business processes to drive strategic student educational initiatives, focus on operational efficiencies and reduce costs associated with lengthy upgrade cycles."-PR
