On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan's Birthday, I wish to express my deepest felicitations and sincere greetings to His Majesty the Emperor, Imperial family, the Government and people of Japan.
The people of Pakistan have profound respect and affection for His Majesty, The Emperor. They fondly recall His Majesty's visit to Pakistan as Crown Prince in 1962, which is still cherished as a key milestone in the Pakistan-Japan relations.
Our two countries enjoy traditionally friendly ties characterized by mutual trust, understanding, cooperation, people to people contacts and cultural and civilizational linkages. Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 1952, Japan has been a key development cooperation partner, important trading partner and a significant investor.
As we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Japan, I am delighted to note that bilateral relations are on an upward trajectory and are further growing in many areas including particularly in the trade and investment realm. The successful convening of a wide range of institutional dialogue processes over the last year clearly reflect the breadth and depth of the partnership between Japan and Pakistan and the commitment on both sides to take it to a new and higher level.
I, as Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan shall continue to do my best to bring more substance into the relationship by actively working to promote people to people contacts, cultural and educational exchanges, trade and investment, human resource development and cooperation in the field of education, science and technology and innovation. I earnestly pray for health and long life of Their Majesties and success of the Japanese people.
Long live Pakistan- Japan friendship.
