President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Shabbir Hussain Chawla has welcomed the nomination of Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan as State Minister of Finance. In a statement issue here today, he said that the Finance related issues were lying pending after the resignation tended by former Finance Minster Ishaq Dar. This important portfolio was personally looked after by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi himself.
However, because of his other engagements this important segment was creating problems particularly for the business community. He said that FCCI and other business organizations were continuously demanding immediate appointment of a full-fledged and dedicated Finance Minster who could solve the problem of this important ministry.
He has welcomed the appointment of Rana Afzal as State Minster and said that he was already involved in the financial issues as parliamentary secretary. He said that now after his formal appointment, Rana Afzal Khan will fully concentrate on financial issues and try to reorganize the financial matters in best interest of the nation and business community.
He further said that it was for the first time that there is a hefty representation of Faisalabad in the Federal cabinet as there are four States Ministers including Haji Akram Ansari state Minister for commerce and textile, Abid Sher Ali state minister for power, Muhammad Talal Badar Chaudhry state minister for interior and Rana Afzal Khan state Minister for finance. In addition to Rana Sanaullah and Tahir Khalil Sindhu who are also representing Faisalabad in the Punjab Cabinet.
