Ten persons of a family were killed and several others injured when two passenger coaches coming from opposite directions collided with a Suzuki van, sandwiching the vehicle, on Sunday morning on the Indus Highway near Sann, police said. According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Irfan Bahadur two coaches, one coming from Sehwan and the other coming from Jamshoro, collided into the Larkana-bound van. Police sources said that the accident occurred in consequence of the two passenger coaches traveling at a very fast speed.
A man, six children and three women of a family, all passengers on the van, were killed in the accident and the van was completely destroyed, the SSP said. A state of chaos was witnessed after the accident and the locals shifted the injured and the dead to nearby hospital on their own. Some passengers on the coach were injured in the accident, police said. The drivers of both coaches fled after the accident, the SSP added.
