Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka celebrated birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Monday, in the Chancery. The function was attended by Bangladesh nationals, Pakistani students and members of the official staff, says a press release received here on Monday from Dhaka.
Paying homage to the Quaid-e-Azam, the High Commissioner of Pakistan, H E Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui, said that millions of Muslims of the sub-continent are indebted to the political sagacity of the Quaid-e-Azam far-sighted, selfless leadership saved them from the slavery of the Hindu majority.
He said that the current miserable condition of the Indian Muslims amply proves that the decision of the Muslims of India for a separate homeland was a blessing for them. He emphasized the need for following the Quaid's principles of "Unity, Faith and Discipline" which is the practical way of paying true homage to our Founding Father. Messages of President and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were read out on the occasion by the Deputy High Commissioner Shah Faisal Kakar.
