All College Fund Lecturers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (ACFLA-KP) demanded of the provincial government to regularize services of the lecturers serving under BS fund in various colleges of the province. Addressing at a press conference here at press club on Tuesday, the association president, Mufti Ghafoorullah said that the provincial government had appointed the teaching staffs under BS fund in wake of deficiency of permanent teaching staffs in various colleges in the province over a decade ago.
He said the appointments were made on purely merit basis up till now. In this regard, he said the proper recruitment criteria were being followed through a selection committee, comprised on principles, as well as senior professors. He claimed that all lecturers appointed under college/BS fund are fulfilling required recruitment criteria of Higher Education Department.
He added the both administration and students are fully satisfied with performance of the teaching staffs. He said that number of lecturers have served under BS fund in various colleges for last ten year. Flanked the association general secretary, Naseer Khan Tarkai, and teaching staffs, Ghafoorullah said the service of contract employees in provincial health department under PPHI (Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative) and GAVI (Global Alliance of vaccination and Immunization), was made permanent by the provincial government in light of Supreme Court verdict.
Similarly, he said the incumbent provincial government had regularized the teaching assistants, which earlier served without any scale. But, he regretted that more than 400 lecturers of BS fund, including 211 male and 204 female, were deprived from regularization. He said the provincial government unjust policy was created great unrest among the teaching staffs.
