The sixth solo exhibition of Shahid Mirza consisting about 70 paintings, drawings and mixed media works opened at the Alhamra Art Gallery here on Tuesday. Shahid Mirza has been painting for the last three decades. He was notably the founder and director of Lahore Chitrkar, a gallery and teaching studio in Lahore devoted to fine art, music and dance.
He has also been an art critic with The News, Dawn, Herald and The Friday Times. He now teaches at the Media Studies, Art and Design Department at the Lahore School of Economics. The present body of work primarily comprises studies of Mehrgarh excavation finds, the Murree hills, and mountains of the Ghizer and Hunza valleys. The exhibition will remain on display till 29th December, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
