Leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) from Chitral has demanded of the federal government and Ministry of Water and Power Development to ensure supply of 30 megawatts electricity to the district from Golan Gol Hydropower project. Flanked by PTI Chitral General Secretary Israruddin, Labour Wing president, Mohammad Qasim, the party local leaders and others, she said the incumbent PTI led provincial government had initiated various hydropower generation projects, which would generate 78 megawatts electricity in the district.
PTI MPA informed the KP government had decided to purchase electricity from Golan Gol Hydropower project from Wapda to fulfill the electricity requirements for people of upper Chitral. She praised the provincial government, Chief Minister and Provincial Minister for Power for taking such important decision, which would beneficial a large number of population in upper Chitral.
However, she said it is right of people of Chitral to get 30-35 MG electricity from Golan Gol Hydropower project on head of royalty. So, he said Wapda should supply electricity from the project free-of cost to consumers in the district.
On the occasion, she targeted her political opponents and so-called representatives of the Chitral. She alleged the some political leaders had re-inaugurated development projects in the district to hide their poor performance during last four and half year. She said they had created rift between the institutions, which is resultantly deprived people from their genuine rights.
Fouzia asked them to apologize from the people of Chitral for not delivering during their tenure. She further said that the masses could not be deceived by mere raising hollow slogans. She said the people of Chitral would never elect conspirators. She also criticized the Jamaat-e-Islami leaders for targeting PTI for their political gains.
She claimed that the PTI will again form its government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on basis of its good performance. She said the political opponents will face the miserable defeat in the general elections 2018.
