The Federal Board of Revenue has announced that FBR Headquarters would remain open on Saturday (December 30) as per normal office hours. The FBR has also directed Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to remain open till 12:00 midnight on December 30 (Saturday) to facilitate the taxpayers in payment of duties and taxes.
According to the FBR's instructions to the chief commissioners of LTUs and RTOs here on Friday, all LTUs/RTOs shall remain open and observe extended working hours till 12:00 midnight on Saturday (December 30, 2017) to facilitate the taxpayers in payment of duties and taxes.
The chief commissioners are requested to establish liaison with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to ensure transfer of tax collection by these branches on December 30, 2017 to the respective branches of the SBP on the same date so as to account for the same towards the collection for the month of December 2017.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the FBR here on Friday said that FBR headquarters and its all offices will remain open for Income Tax collection on December 30 till 12 at night. Selective branches of National Bank will remain open till 5pm on December 30 for income tax collection. In the same manner, all Customs offices will remain open on December 31 till mid night. Selective branches of National Bank will remain open till 5pm on December 31 for custom clearance and export tax collection.
