A scattered rain-thunderstorm with a snowfall over the hills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Thursday. The heavy rain and snow falls are likely in Malakand and Hazara Divisions while isolated in Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala Divisions, besides Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Dense fog is likely to prevail over the plains of Punjab and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours. "A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours," the Met said. Temperature fall continues in upcountry mountainous region as Skardu minus 10 degrees Celsius, Astore and Gupis minus 8, each over the past 24 hours.
