Spot basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat in the US Plains on Monday were steady as farmers eyed softer futures prices, grain dealers said. Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) K.C. HRW wheat slipped as warmer temperatures in US Plains eased concerns about damage to plants. CBOT March futures at 12:45 pm CST (1845 GMT) were down 3-1/2 cents at $4.34 per bushel.
Protein premiums on for wheat delivered by railcar to or through Kansas City were unchanged.
