On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,300. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.606 billion and the number of lots traded was 4,054. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 962.989 million, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 630.600 million, DJ PKR 285.100 million, WTI crude oil PKR 251.298 million, silver PKR 179.626 million, platinum PKR 157.427 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 56.054 million, natural gas PKR 48.810 million, copper PKR 18.936 million, SP500 PKR 12.424 million and Brent crude oil PKR 3.291 million.
In agricultural commodities 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.733 million and 50,787 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 8.870 million were traded.
