Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has constituted the monitoring committees headed by Provincial Ministers to review the work pace of development projects in the Punjab for ensuring early and timely completion of ongoing uplift schemes of public welfare. The three-member monitoring team headed by Punjab Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Jahangir Khanzada deputed for Faisalabad division, visited here and held meeting at Commissioner Office Committee Room.
The team included by MPAs Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan and Awais Qasim reviewed the development schemes being carried out in Faisalabad division in different sectors. Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha briefed the team about the details and latest positions of different development projects in Faisalabad division. Reviewing the pace of work and utilization of funds, Jahangir Khanzada said that speedy completion of uplift schemes in all over the Punjab is on top priority of the Punjab govt and CM Punjab had issued special instructions to monitor the construction process of the schemes for ensuring their timely completion so that people could be get benefits of these schemes without any delay.
Divisional Commissioner informed that 1037 development schemes of different sectors would be completed in Faisalabad division at a cost of Rs 14.204 billion and more than 51 percent funds had been utilized on these schemes. He informed that the development schemes included construction of roads, buildings for health & educational institutions, sports, social welfare and other departments besides provision of clean drinking water and other basic facilities to the public. Superintending Engineers Roads, Buildings, Public Health Engineering Khawar Bhutta, Shafqat Bukhari, Mian Abdullah, Chief Engineer FDA Asghar Ali and other officers briefed the monitoring team about the progress of development schemes being carried out under annual development program, PM's Sustainable Development Goals Program and Special Local Govt. Package. Deputy Commissioner Jhang, Chiniot Mudassar Riaz Malik, Ayub Khan, ADCs Finance Faisalabad Mian Aftab, Toba Tek Singh Ch Abdul Ghafoor, Addl. Commissioner Coordination Mahr Shafqat Ullah and officers of other departments were also present in the meeting.
