Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, while inaugurating the extension project of THQ Hospital Raiwind, on Wednesday, warned the political jugglers to refrain from their designs of befooling the nation, otherwise, they will be held accountable and the nation will never forgive them. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz challenged his rivals as to why they are unnerved over the revolution of prosperity being brought in the lives of the people. We are introducing a system that was envisaged by Iqbal and Jinnah but it has been conspired to hinder it through sit-ins. No other conspiracy can be hatched against Pakistan than it, he added.
Hitting hard Imran Khan, Punjab CM said, "What you have done in the KPK during the last four and half years as you have only lied, took u-turns and deceived the people. You had said that you will construct hospitals and schools in the KPK instead of starting a Metro bus project but after the passage of more than four years, you have decided to start the metro bus project there. But you are unable to fix even a single brick of the project. Instead of giving honor to your voters, you have ridiculed them. While giving interview to a journalist, you claimed that you will not only eliminate load-shedding from the KPK in next five years but will also remove the darkness of load-shedding from the whole of the country."
According to him, there are plenty of opportunities available for producing thousands of megawatts electricity through hydle power in the KPK but you have not produced even the single megawatt electricity during last four and a half years. On the other side, Punjab government has completed electricity generation projects of 5000 megawatts capacity from its own resources and work is in progress on other projects as well.
Shahbaz said, "Niazi Sahib, you blatantly deceived the nation; lied and created anarchy. Now what face will you show to the people? You leveled allegations of corruption of billions of rupees to me and I took you to the court but you did not appear before it. It would have been better if you could prove the allegations as well. Please appear before the court and if you prove the allegations of corruption then I shall go home and you can replace me. You have been deceiving the nation by continuously speaking lies during the last more than four years and it was you who made an accusation of spending an amount of 70 billion rupees on Lahore Metro Bus but you could not prove it till today. I have been continuously crying that only 30 billion rupees have been spent on it."
He said that if we succeed in the KPK in the elections of 2018 then I promise that Peshawar Metro Bus project will be operationalized within a year. He said that PML-N government has taken unprecedented steps for the development and prosperity of the people and if the masses give an opportunity of serving to them again, then Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and other cities will be totally transformed.
He said, "My name should be changed if these cities are not developed on the pattern of development made in Lahore. I pray to Allah Almighty to save the people from cheaters and the people leveling baseless allegations."
Addressing inaugural ceremony, the Chief Minister said that Orthopedic and Gyne Wards have been established along with provision of state-of-the-art operation theaters and latest machinery for providing quality medical facilities to the locals as well as the patients coming from adjoining areas and the hospital shall work as a messiah for the ailing humanity.
The Chief Minister took a round of the hospital after the inauguration and inquired the patients about the medical facilities provided to them. He also talked with the doctors and other staff and expressed the satisfaction that all the staff is diligently serving the patients. He also visited the filter clinic and inspected the medical facilities there. He presided over the meeting in the committee room and directed that a number of counters for the outdoor patients should be increased so that they may not have to wait.
